This is my favorite hotel in NY. It's perfectly located in the center of SoHo. If you ask for a room near the top of the building, you'll be able look over the rooftops -- the view is spectacular. This hotel is expensive, but worth the splurge. The rooms are comfortable, nicely designed, and well maintained.The windows open -- a nice change for New York. Despite having one of the most happening bars in town, 60 Thompson is very quiet at night.
If you're in the neighborhood, the Thai restaurant on the ground floor serves wonderful food... perhaps the best in New York... that is creative while still respecting traditional Thai cooking.
