San Diego, California
Updated January 2006
World famous for its beautiful beaches, resort hotels, and relaxed atmosphere, San Diego is a wonderful destination for a honeymoon or family vacation.
Here are my favorite travel destinations in the San Diego Area:

San Diego Restaurants
Fresh
1044 Wall St. La Jolla. (858) 551-7575
Executive Chef Matthew Zappoli draws on his experience at
Aureole and the Dry Creek Kitchen to create dishes that highlight
California's fresh, local ingredients. While all the dishes are
wonderful, salads and seafood are what Fresh does best.
Arterra 11966 El Camino Real 858-369-6032
The location, in the San Diego Marriott Del Mar, gives a deceptive idea of
what to expect at this excellent restaurant. Farm-fresh cooking and
some of San Diego's most interesting food await you at Arterra.
Parallel 33 741 West Washington Street
619-260-0033
Parallel 33 is part of the stylish Asian fusion trend sweeping the country.
Incorporating Japanese, Hawaiian, Indian and even Moroccan cuisine, Parallel turns out delicious dishes that are far from typical. Try
the Asian cured duck salad with grapefruit, or for dessert: Goan-style,
Medjool date cake with vanilla-rose ice cream.
George's at the Cove 1250 Prospect Street,
La Jolla
858-454-4244
In the heart of La Jolla - a popular tourist day trip from San Diego.
Featuring fresh produce from the renowned Chino Farms, Trey Foshee creates
amazing dishes that feature fruit and vegetables in a way you've probably
never experienced them before. George's, which has been in business
for over 20 years has been completely renovated in recent years, bringing
both the food and the decor up to par with what you'd hope for in this
location and price range. If you've been in the past, it's time to
visit again. If you've never been, there's never been a better time.
Region 3671 Fifth Avenue 619-299-6499
Want to eat some of San Diego's famous fresh produce, but George's is a
little out of your price range (or just too formal)? Region is a
simple but beautiful restaurant featuring local organic produce and
delicious fresh fish and meat. Preparations are simple and really
highlight the ingredients. With dishes like Hawaiin snapper on carrot
risotto with peas and garlic, you won't be disappointed.
Dumpling Inn 4619 Convoy Street,
Suite F Kearney Mesa 858-268-9638
Yummy, yummy dumplings. Steamed, boiled, or panfried. mmmm what more
can I say.
Café Cerise's
1125 Sixth Avenue
619-595-0153
This jazzy cafe is a great place for a Martini or a
whole meal. Featuring modern versions of traditional dishes like pork
Wellington, this hip spot will have you feeling at ease.

Questions and Answers
Where would be a good place to stay in San Diego where we could get complimentory shuttle service from airport and the get to our cruise ship at a farily resonable price or maybe the hotel will provide shuttle service to our cruise ship.
