Rome Sights
Traveling in Rome can in some ways be tough - there are so many sights to see and the tour guides just list them all, making it hard to know which to see first. I've put together a list of the top sights you should see on your trip to Rome
No amount of time is enough to see all that Rome has to offer. I recommend a week for a first visit, but you can hit all the top sights in 3-4 days if that's all the time you have.
-
Pantheon
-
Coliseum
-
Vatican, Michelangelo's Pieta and the Sistine Chapel
-
Roman Forum. Take a good book with you and your imagination. What remains of the forum is a sight to see, but a lot of it is in bits and pieces.
-
Palatine Hill. There are superb views of the city, the Coliseum, and the Forum here, as well as interesting remains from the palaces of emperors.
-
Spanish Steps and shopping on Via Condotti
-
Trevi Fountain
-
Strolling around Campo de' Fiore
-
Borgese gardens and museum
-
Piazza Navona
