The Budapest Hilton has a nice location up in the Castle area with
beautiful views of the Danube river and Pest. It has a beautiful
facade designed to fit in with the buildings around it. If you are
only in Budapest for a day or two and especially if your visit will focus
primarily on the fascinating castle area, this is the hotel for you.
There are good restaurants in the castle area, so you won't have to go far
in the evenings to find your meals.
Intercontinental Hotel
This hotel, on the banks of the Danube is recently renovated and rooms
have a beautiful view of the river. Walking distance to Pest
restaurants and the market.
Hotel Mercure Korona
This centrally located Pest hotel, across from the National Museum, is
recently renovated with a nice lobby lounge. If Internet access is
important to you, ask for a room on the sixth floor where free wireless
service is available.
