What to see
Whether you're taking a private tour of Vancouver, a package tour, or seeing the sights on your own, you'll want to make sure that you see these top sights:
-
Vancouver Art Gallery
Right in the heart of Robson Street, the gallery has international collection and has regularly changing shows with national and international themes. -
Stanley Park
1000 acres of beautiful natural parkland - this is one of the highlights of any trip to Vancouver. In the winter, part of the park is decorated with holiday lights. -
Capilano Suspension Bridge
Walk across the Capilano river on this swaying wooden bridge built in 1889 and wander around Vancouver's beautiful rainforest. -
Seaplane
Take a seaplane ride over the city and park to get a new perspective -
Robson Street Shopping
Robson street is famous for it's upscale shopping, but you'll also find smaller, funky shops and lots of restaurants -
Chinatown
Canada's largest Chinatown. Experience early Vancouver architecture, along with Chinese food and products. Take home a tea set, Chinese herbal medicines, or simply grab a delicious snack. -
Harbor Centre Tower
This tower offers a beautiful view of the city -
Grouse Mountain
A Tram takes you up the 1 mile slope. Amazing views and nice hiking await at the top -
South Granville Slope
Fine Art Galleries and funky shops sit along side Pottery Barn and Restoration hardware. A fun area to spend an afternoon. -
Granville Island
A pleasant place to spend a morning or afternoon - Granville island is an artist colony with arts and crafts as well as a wonderful farmers market. The doughnut shop in the market is a special treat with some of the best chocolate doughnuts I've ever had - or if you're not up for a sweet, grab a bagel with homemade cream cheese!
